Located just an hour’s drive east from the city of Bordeaux, Château Gaby is a jewel of the Canon-Fronsac appellation. Nestled on a hilltop overlooking the vineyards, the 18th century château is a stunning representation of the area’s long history of winemaking.

Princess Gaby is a little sister to the famous Château Gaby, a wine that needs little introduction.

Mouth filling, easy to drink and smooth, this wine stands up to the big, deep late summer flavours we expected to serve with our tasting menu at Gauthier Soho in July and August. A real find, and far more impressive than the price should suggest.

From the vineyard: "Well-balanced with elegance and fine tannins, the wine tastes of transformation. Strong on the nose with red fruits and licorice notes, Princess Gaby softens on the palate with a long finish and traces of vanilla. To add complexity, Princess Gaby is aged in the same barrels used to make the award-winning Château Gaby."

A wine by the esteemed winemaker Damien Landour, usually associated with the kind heavyweight serious drinking Bordeaux found on very thick and intimidating wine lists. Damien is also famous for his work on three other estates for owner Tom Sullivan including Château Auguste in Entre-deux-Mers; Château Moya, a Castillon-Côtes-de-Bordeaux property; and Château Du Parc, a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru.
